Outfit Of The Day: Stripes and Floral

Hello beautiful friends,

I apologize for the long break between posts but I'm very busy studying day and night for a huge test that could be seriously life changing; so that means little time for other things and also not too many exciting outfits. I have been planning outfits in my head while I shower in the mornings haha. Sometimes the end results are not that great but this morning I liked how the outfit looked :)

Top: H&M| Jeans: Zara| Jean Jacket: Garage| Scarf: Tommy Hilfiger| Shoes: H&M| Wristlet: Coach
ps. these Zara jeans are the most comfortable jeans I have ever owned.

Bracelets: Bijjou and gift

Have a wonderful Friday :)

Work Out Motivation 6.0

Hello beauties,

I hope you're all ready for some fitness motivation? I know I am. As I am preparing for a very huge exam my stress levels have been at all time high so to fight it off I've definitely been relying on work outs :)
And remember, you don't have to spend hours a day working out! if you have 20 minutes in your day, run 10 minutes away from your house and back! or do a little mini work out. My favourites are from the Tone It UP ladies who I spoke about here. The other day the girl sitting next to me in the library was dressed in running gear. She studied for a few hours, then went for a run (about half an hour) then came back to studying. That my friends is dedication! People like that inspire me :)

Yes I know, another Harry Potter reference. I can't help myself!

Best feeling ever.

YES!

Ask any guy ;)

True for everything in life!

It's all about your mentality!

This is very true :)

umm...I die. haha.

Outfit Of The Day: Study Day!

Hello darlings

I have another outfit post for you today. I'm on a roll! I spent all of today studying in the library so I wanted to wear something cute but comfortable. I don't really like studying in sweats because if I dress like I rolled out of bed, I'll feel like I rolled out of bed. Not a good feeling if you want to be productive. Is it just me or is anyone else like that? Since I didn't really feel like wearing pants, haha, I went for a dress and tights instead. The tights were totally a good idea, it was freezing in the library.

Dress: Zara| Jacket: Garage| Tights and Scarf: H&M| Shoes: Converse| Bag: Winners

Bracelet: Bijjou

Yes it's the same bracelet from my previous post in a different colour :) I am so in love with these!

Have a great day!

Things I'm Afraid To Tell You

I didn’t really want to do this post because that would mean I would actually have to think about these things and my feelings about them. Not to mention then posting it for the world to see. I wasn’t tagged to do this like most of the lovely ladies were but I felt inspired when I read Christine’s, because it sounded identical to how I feel. So here we go:

1.     I am a very shy person. This has gotten much better over the years but I am still sometimes painfully shy. I’ve tried to improve because I do feel that it holds me back sometimes. So this is a work in progress.

2.     I am extremely self-conscious. This kind of relates to the first one.  I guess you would be a bit surprised seeing how I take photos of myself and put them on the Internet for everyone to see. This is why it took me 2 years to work up the courage to start this blog.

3.     I am terrified of being a failure. I am in no way a slacker. Anyone who knows me in real life will tell you that I work hard in everything I do.  And one reason for that is my fear of failing in life and everything in general.  I know it’s all right to make mistakes in life and that’s how we learn but I still take it so hard every time. It is so difficult for me to get over a mistake I’ve made no matter how small it is.  Sometimes it takes me years to finally be ok with a mistake.

4.     I can be very sensitive. This can make things very difficult. I am constantly thinking of how other people feel right after I've said something to them. I am very aware of those around me and how they make me feel and vice versa. Can we say emotional overload? I don't even know if this is something that can be helped or changed but this is how I am.

5.     I can be very jealous sometimes. I know this is a horrible trait and I usually catch myself and stop it but not always. I look at my friends who are successful and already where they want to be, especially those in medical school. And then think about how I’m not there yet and it’s taking me too long to get there. Don’t get me wrong I am happy for them but it can be very difficult not to let the green monster out. This one kind of goes with my third point.

There you have it! This was the hardest post I've ever had to do. I do hope however that this inspires you to do the same :)

Happy Mother's Day! ♥

Hello lovelies,

Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend so far. Today was mother's day here in Canada as some of you may know, so I spent it with my lovely family. After giving a little gift to my mom we took her out for brunch to Cora's which is a little tradition of ours :)
If you've ever been to Cora's you'll know how amazing the food is there! I shared their special breakfast and their eggs benedict with my mom and it was just heaven in my mouth. They also do this sweet little thing where they give all the mommies there a rose, how nice is that :)
After that we went for a little walk by the lake and took some photos. My mom is my best friend and my greatest support in life. She's also my photographer! Love you mom, thank you for being the most amazing woman in my life :)
Alright here are the photos of me and some cute little ducks! haha.

Most fashionable lady in my life :)

Have a wonderful day and happy mother's day to all the moms :)

Work Out Motivation 5.0

Hello beauties,

I have another work out motivation post for you today! I am often asked why I've taken up running as a form of exercise. I did a post telling you all about my workout history Here. The very first time I went for a run it was because I lived far from a swimming pool so the next convenient and no fuss exercise for me was to go for a run. It was hard but I came back with such a high that I never wanted to stop. So a couple of years later I still haven't stopped! Now I like everyone else have days where I am so tired or just lazy that I don't want to move but I push through it and do a little work out. Right after my work out I feel so much more energized and happy and ready to take on the rest of my day.
I am always on the hunt for fun new work outs because I can get bored of a routine. A few weeks ago I found Tone It Up through Sandra. She mentioned them briefly in a video and I am so so glad she did! Tone It Up was developed by two friends Karena and Katrina, two very beautiful, very fit and super fun girls. Once you do one of their work outs you'll want to keep going back for more. They have a nutrition plan you can sign up for and I believe it's a single payment of $150 and they update frequently but you don't have to pay for them.
Now I myself hate diets and all these cleanses and things going around. It becomes a vicious cycle that once you start you can't get out of. I am firm believer of life style change however. I think if you want to see a change you have to change your lifestyle and that's why I really love Tone It Up, they promote a healthy LIFESTYLE.
I haven't bought the nutrition plan myself because in my house my mom and I have always been into home cooked meals using fresh and healthy ingredients. luckily no one in my house really likes processed foods so 98% of the time we eat fresh cooked food.
I can however see the benefit of purchasing this plan if you are having a hard time finding healthy recipes or just having problems staying motivated.
Oh and before any one gets suspicious I am not being endorsed for this post haha. They don't even know this post exists, I don't think.
I just love finding new ways of exercising and am excited to share them with everyone. If you've been following my blog for a while you'll know this already :)
If you don't want to spend that money on a plan they frequently post new workouts on their youtube channel and their website is full of tips and recipes too. Let me tell you that their workouts are amazing and they really work!

How funny is this?! It makes watching Harry Potter even more fun!

The moment you tell yourself you can't do something is the moment you make it true. Same goes for telling yourself you CAN do something.

It's all about YOUR choices!

When your workout coaches look like this you'll want to work out!

Here is my favourite work out from Tone It Up. I do this about 3 times a week after my run. Some days I'll do this workout and then any of their other workouts!

Hope you enjoyed this post, I know it was longer than usual but I am super passionate about working out and living a healthy and active life!

Have a wonderful weekend :)
