November Favourites ♥

Hello dolls,

It's that time of the month!...no not that one...it's favourites time! This month I'm actually doing this on time, rather than waiting until middle of the following month. I am super excited about my favourites this month so I'm just going to get started.
Here is the happy bunch :)

left to right: Power Clutch, Metro Chic, Material Girl

I love Essie nail polishes they always have such amazing colours. Power clutch has an amazing formula and is very easy to work with but it does chip faster than other Essie polishes I own, the colour and formula however are amazing. Metro Chic by Sephora by OPI is one of my all time favourite nail polishes and it's a gorgeous taupe. Material Girl is just a beautiful colour for this season.

Vasanti: Kenya Lipstick and Coral Sea Lipshine

I discovered Vasanti cosmetics through the lovely Aleeza from stylish and literate. I first bought Kenya, my first dark red lipstick. I am in love with it and wear it every day. This berry colour suits my complexion perfectly. I then went back for a lipgloss and fell in love with Coral Sea which is the prettiest coral lipgloss.I LOVE these Vasanti products since both these products are super moisturizing and Paraben-Free!

bareMinerals: Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara

My eyelashes are quite long so I don't normally look for any lengthening mascaras but I love the look of full lashes. This mascara adds some serious volume and does add some length too. I bought this mascara because I was looking for one that is paraben-free and lacking harsh chemicals. I really am happy with my choice :)

Here is a photo of the wand I just wanted to show how thick and full the bristles are. I don't curl my eyelashes before putting on mascara but this wand really helps with adding some curl.

Sigma Duo-Fibre F50 Brush

I'll be honest when I first used this brush I was not impressed. I had seen beauty bloggers and vloggers use this brush for applying liquid foundation. That is what I bought it for also but I really did not like the way it applied liquid foundation. I then washed it with baby shampoo for the first time and it shed like crazy. While using it after that firs wash it kept shedding on my face so I was not impressed. But after a while it stopped shedding so I think that may be normal. I now use this for applying my blush and Stereo Rose MSF and I LOVE how this applies them both on my face. It just makes my make up look so natural.

Bath and Body Works Candles: Marshmallow Fireside and Dark Chocolate Mint

I bought these two about a week ago during the buy 2 for $25 sale, which I take advantage of every year. These two candles are such gorgeous and sweet smells, perfect for this time of the year. The Marshmallow Fireside candle smells exactly as it would when roasting marshmallows on the fire <3

and yes the Dark Chocolate Mint smells like melted chocolate when it's burning and I really don't know who wouldn't like that. If you don't we can't be friends any more....haha...just kidding...a little bit.

Burt's Bees: Very Volumizing, Pomegranate and Soy Shampoo

This was the first shampoo I bought that was paraben-free. It is also sulfate and phthalate free, so all of this is pretty amazing to me. This shampoo only cleans, which is what I would look for in a shampoo. After washing my hair with this my hair feels very clean but also very dry, that is ok however since I always condition my hair after.

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque

Yes this is part of my favourites again and probably will be forever. I cannot get enough of this stuff.

Origins Frothy Face Wash

This is my first ever Origins product and I can say that I have fallen in love and want to try more. This face wash claims to cleanse both dry and oily places without cancelling each other out. It also claims to discourage excess oil production. I have very dry skin but my nose tends to get very oily as the day goes on. Since I started washing my face with this I have noticed a big difference, there is very little oil on my nose at the end of the day. After washing my face with this, my face is literally squeaky clean but without any of the tight feeling and dryness.

Jacob Very Chic Perfume

I am allergic to many perfumes so I am very picky and have to try perfumes before I buy them. When I tried this perfume I knew I had to have it. It has such a deep, warm and sensual scent and I get many compliments every time I wear it. I am very bad at describing scents or figuring out notes in perfumes. The box unfortunately does not explain the scent either but I know for sure it has vanilla in it as the main scent. I would definitely recommend checking this out!

edit: I checked the Jacob website and this is the description of this perfume

Mysterious and tempting. Captivating tangerine and exotic mango are embraced by tempting blossoms and layered with deep amethyst plum and intense vanilla. The enticing sweetness of black amber and sensual woods lingers for lasting richness.

That's it for this month's favourites. Let me know about some of yours :)

Have a great day or night!

Sequins Obsessed ♥

Hello dolls,

Lately I've been slightly obsessed with sequins and I guess it doesn't really help that they are every where! Actually I have always liked them but because they were not in trend, there weren't that many options but now I can walk into any store and find these pretty, sparkly things.

I have put together a few items that have been inspiring to me and I'm sharing them with you.

1. Joe Fresh Embellished Skirt| 2. Deborah Lippmann Stairway to Heaven| 3. Topshop Petite Sequin Overlay Top| 4. Warehouse Sequin Shorts| 5. Carvela Adora Sequin Peep Toe Heeled Court| 6. Topshop Sequin Bodycon Dress| 7. Asos Sequin Zip Top Clutch| 8. Asos Premium Stitch and Sequin Colour Block Cardigan| 9. Deborah Lippmann Shake Your Groove Thing| 10. Windsor Gold Sequin Mini Skirt

Hope you enjoyed this post and found it somewhat useful since Christmas is almost here and I don't know about you but I plan on wearing sparkles ;)

Have a wonderful Saturday

a little girl with great big plans ♥

Hello everyone,

Today was a bit weird and I was just not feeling the best (or myself) but a little visit from The Boy made it so much better. That is why I am writing this post to share with you, a song that I really love, the lyrics are just something I relate to and specially so today.

I would highly recommend checking out more of her songs. I love listening to her when I'm relaxing or just need to calm down.
Hope you enjoy this as well :)

Have an amazing day

Mini Haul ♥

Hello lovelies,

I have bought a few goodies in the past few weeks so I thought I would share some of them here with you. These are all recently bought and still in stores so if you really like something you can still find it in stores :)
Skirt: H&M $14| Top: H&M $6.95| Perfume: Very Chic by Jacob $30 (on sale)| Face Wash: Origins $23| Over the Knee Socks: H&M $12

I really love body con skirts as I can wear them for a night out or with leggings during the day so when I saw this I grabbed it since I had a birthday to go to that weekend! The skirt also  comes in a tan colour. I had been looking for a perfume for a very long time, as I am very picky with them and allergic to many but I am so glad I found this. I will do a separate post about it, I will also do a review of the Origins face wash once I've used it long enough to be able to give my honest opinion on it.

And of course when I saw those socks at the check out line I had to have them. They are super cute and so very warm!
Have a wonderful day :)

Breaking Dawn (part 1) inspired outfit

Hello lovelies,

I have not watched Breaking Dawn yet as I'm not a die hard fan but I was browsing the photos of this movie and I got inspired by the colour scheme of this movie. As there was a wedding, honeymoon and baby involved, there were a lot of neutrals and soft colours used. Here is the outfit that I came up with and I adjusted it to a Fall weather appropriate one.

Sweater: Oasis Bobble Jumper| Boots: Chiara Ferragni| Leggings: Velvet Leggings| Purse: Teacher's Pet Mini Messanger
What do you think of this outfit?

Have a wonderful day :)

Nail of the moment: Gold tips ♥

Hello lovelies,

I did my nails today and I really liked the look so I thought I would share it here!

with flash

(accurate colour of the tips)

without flash

(the tips look more silver in this photo, not sure why, as they actually are rose gold)

All over nail colour: Essie- Material Girl

Tips: Orly- Rage

I love the colour of Material Girl but I really am not a fan of the formula of this nail polish. It is very hard to work with, which is usually not the case with Essie nail polishes. I love the colour too much to stop using it though!

Hope you liked this post. Let me know what some of your favorite nail polishes are :)

have an amazing Sunday.

So I can't really give a review since I only received my box yesterday but if I really love anything I'll be using it and will talk about it more here :)

I was also given an Olay product to try out and provide feedback! I gave that to my mom  since it was a wrinkle treatment and she would benefit more from it than I would.

What I can tell you is that the tea from Teaopia smells so so yummy! and I will probably be trying it sometime later today. I am actually already a big Teaopia fan and purchase teas from them regularly so the coupon that came with this box is definitely appreciated. The perfume also smells good and it's perfect for just putting in my purse for freshening up during the day and it helps that the bottle is hot pink and super cute!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Have a wonderful Saturday :)

Since the end of day light savings, it has become even harder to get outfit photos. It is so dark at 5pm that I am ready to go to bed by 8 pm these days! ha! So this morning at 7:00 am yes that is right 7:00 my very amazing mom agreed to take photos of me before I had to go to my first class. Thanks mom you're the best :)

Coat: Zara

Sweater: Tommy Hilfiger

Tops: RW&Co. and H&M

Leggings: Sears

Wool Knee Socks: Forever21

Boots: Steve Madden

Ring: Forever21

This coat is actually my favourite coat and girls always ask me where I bought it from. It has a bit of an old school feel to it, very 60's I think.

oh yeah and I dyed my hair, you like?

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Have a wonderful day :)

October Favourites ♥

Hello lovelies,

I know I am late with this as it is already pretty much half way through November but I really wanted to do this post. So here are my favourites!

1. The Body Shop Extra Virgin Minerals Compact Foundation. I have done a full review of this this foundation here and all I can say is that I really love it!

2. Ikea Tindra Candle. This candle smells heavenly. It smells like vanilla and marshmallows so so yummy. Every one in my house loves walking by my room when I'm burning this candle!

3. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque. I have also done a review for this hair product here and I still am in love with this. My hair feels and looks amazing when I use this so not going to stop using it any time soon.

4. Purminerals Correcting primer. I received this  in my October Luxe box and am really liking it for days that I use my Bare Escentuals foundation. It makes blending the powder on much easier and helps keep my foundation on for a longer time. When I use this product it completely eliminates that powdery look after applying a powder foundation.

5. Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark- Circle roller. I know this product was all the rage a while back but I was using another concealer at the time and wanted to just finish it up before buying a new one. I really like this product, I get really bad circles as any other university student! the long study days and nights will do that to you but this concealer has been pretty good at covering them up. It is actually build-able, some days I'll only use a bit and on the really bad days I'll use a couple of layers. It really brightens and refreshens my whole face, so I love it.

6. Clinique Eye Shadow Palette. This palette was actually part of a gift that The Bay had in August. My mom had made a purchase of over a certain amount so she received this as a gift but then gave it to me! I recently got into using this because it makes for such an easy and fast eye look, which I need during the busy school months. I love using Daybreak all over the lid with Like Mink in the crease. The other two colours are also very pretty but I find them more appropriate for the spring and summer seasons.

7. MAC blush in Well Dressed. This blush is really the prettiest shade of light pink and it is perfect for me since I am rather pale. It has a satin finish and if you look very closely there is a really tiny amount of shimmer but it is not noticeable once I put it on. I actually haven't used any other blush ever since I bought this which was a few months ago.

8. MAC Mineralized Skin finish in Stereo Rose. This product was a limited edition one that came out two summers ago. I usually wear this in the summer as it gives the most beautiful coral glow. But in October I started wearing it over my Well Dressed blush and I just really liked the combination of the two. I'm not sure if you can see in the photos but it has the most gorgeous bronze veining all through, as you can tell I am very much in love with it.

9. Sheyna earrings. I received these in my September Luxe box and I wear them anytime I have my hair up. They're prefect for everyday use :)

Hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know if you have used any of these or what some of your favourites are!

Have a great weekend :)

Outfit of the Day: Favourite Sweater from Tommy Hilfiger

Hello lovelies,

It's been a long time since I did an outfit of the day post. During the week I leave my house at around 7 am when it's still dark and I get back home from university at around 7 pm....when it's also dark, so that leaves me no time to take outfit photos.

The other day one of my classes was cancelled and I got home earlier so I asked my mom to snap up some photos of my outfit. I really love everything I was wearing that day!

I know i know *gasp* I'm wearing UGGs. Well I commute for 2 hours to go to university and alot of that time I spend waiting for buses outside and as much as I would love to wear gorgeous leather boots, these are just more practical. This entire outfit was so cozy and it pretty much features all my favourite items :)

Sweater: Tommy Hilfiger

Coat: Zara

Scarf: H&M

Leggings: TNA

Shoes: UGG boots
What do you think of this outfit?

Have a wonderful Friday :)
