Hello lovelies,
It is the start of a new week again! last week of summer for me actually and then it is back to university. I am so excited though as I am going away on Wednesday and coming back Monday and I am hoping the weather will cooperate so I can relax and enjoy my time and recharge.
Today I want to share an outfit with you that in my opinion is pretty and feminine but you can always let me know what you think of it ;)
Hello lovelies,
I am just taking a mini coffee break from studying so I thought I would do a little post and share a couple of my new lovely finds today :)
In my last post I mentioned that I found a gorgeous sweater and also a pair of jean shorts, so here they are.
Hello lovelies,
How is your Saturday? mine is sunny but filled with studying. Taking a little break to do this post, which I was originally going to do on Monday but I was too excited, so I had to do it today haha!
I wore this outfit to run some errands and do a bit of shopping at Yorkdale mall. I went there to check out JCrew, which opened recently, for some fall items. I loved many of their items but they were way too over priced. Tommy came to the rescue though and I ended up with two gorgeous sweaters, I will share them with you soon. For those of you in Toronto, Tommy has so many gorgeous sweaters right now and they are on sale for 30% off so it is definitely worth checking out!
When I put these pants on, I automatically become all happy and giggly, I can't help it. I debated buying them when I saw them in Zara a while back, as they are so out of my comfort zone, but I'm very glad I did!
Skinnies: Zara
Top: H&M
Sandals: Zara
Purse: Danier Leather
Sun glasses: Ray Ban folding Wayfarer
Bracelets: local hand made bangles and my bluma project bracelet.
Hello lovelies,
How is everyone's Friday? Fun and Fabulous? I certainly hope so! I did some shopping in the past two days that are for Fall and now I am totally excited for the cooler weather. I did however manage to also find a pair of jean shorts for a little trip I'm going on next week which was a challenge let me tell you. There were either none in stores or the stores that had them did not have them in my size. Crisis averted however so all is good again :)
Today I want to share a little outfit I put together which was inspired by items from the Windsor store. I found this website after watching Carly Cristman and Ingrid talk about it on their youtube channels.
1. Windsor Blue 3/4 Sleeve Cropped Top
2. Joe's Jeans Elsa Cuffed Shorts
3. Forever21 Basketweave Sandals
4. H&M Cognac Brown Bag
5. Windsor Brass Multi Row Bracelet
Hope you liked it :)
Have a great day!

Hello lovelies,
How is everyone's week so far? well we're half way done so hooray for that!
Today I want to share an outfit I wore yesterday, with my favourite top and shoes. This outfit was all about comfort since I was going to be doing a bit of running around at work and still wanted to look cute!
I absolutely love this purple top, purple is actually my favourite colour so it makes this top even more special. It is a rather sheer top so for work purposes I wore a black tank top under.
Tunic: Zara (last year)
Shorts: Forever21 jeans cut into shorts by me :)
Tank: Garage
Shoes: White Converse
Bracelets: My Kyeh bracelet from here and my Madewell cuff bracelet.
♥
Hello lovelies,
Hope your Tuesday is going well! for me it actually feels a bit like a Monday but a large cup of coffee is quickly fixing it! haha. Spoken like a true coffee addict.
If you follow me on twitter, you will have seen my tweets about how much I am loving StyleMint. The site showcases t-shirts and shirts designed by none other than Marykate and Ashley Olsen. I have always loved Ashley and her sense of style, so when I heard about this site and that the twins themselves give styling tips for these shirts I was very excited. That excitement however did not last very long when I found out that they do not deliver to Canada.
Should have learnt my lesson when the same thing happened to me with JewelMint. Oh wells I guess I will just keep waiting and hoping some day they will ship here. Until then here is a little outfit I put together featuring my favourite pieces from StyleMint and JewelMint.
1. StyleMint No...is a full sentence t-shirt
2. Forever21 High Waist Lace Shorts
3. Zara Embellished Drawstring Bag
4. Belle Sigerson Morrison Suede Open-Toe Booties
5. JewelMint Astoria Necklace
If you live in the US, you can sign up for free and every thing on the website is $29.99. Every month, according to your profile, they will send you different styles of shirts that matche the information you entered in your profile! The same idea applies to JewelMint as well :)
What do you think of this outfit? yes or no?
not going to lie I am actually kind of in love with it.
Have a great day :)

Hello lovelies,
How is your Monday? hope you are having a great start to your week!
Today's post although is make up related, is a bit more serious. I am going to talk about parabens, what they are and why they are bad for you.
So what are parabens? They are essentially a group of chemicals that are used as cheap preservatives in cosmetics and also other body care products, such as shampoos, body washes, lotions, etc.
Although not directly linked to breast cancer, there was a study published in the Journal of Applied Toxicology, which found parabens in 18 out of the 20 samples of breast tissue from cancer patients. However they did not claim a direct connection between the two.
I won't go into to much of the biology here as it can get a bit confusing and the details are very specific. What I did read however made me want to take the plunge into paraben free living.
I am not doing this post to scare anyone, I did however find myself wanting to share this with as many people around me as I can. Although I did know that there were many ingredients and chemicals in the make up that I used I never actually looked into what they were until recently. I was watching some youtube videos, as I actually find makeup videos calming (call me crazy lol) and I saw that one of my favourite youtubers MissJenFABULOUS had posted a video about parabens and after watching that I started to do more research about it. You should definitely check out her video as she did a great job and has a great amount of information in that video. After watching that I found another youtuber who has decided to go paraben free and she does great videos about products that are paraben free. Her channel is PirouetteMakeup I love this girl, her videos are great and she is also a supporter of cruelty free make up so definitely check out her channel as well.
So to start my paraben free experience, I did not go crazy and throw everything out. I did a post previously about how much I love Bath&Body works and how their lotions are amazing and they still truly are but unfortunately they do contain parabens. Because of my eczema I use a large amount of body lotion every day, so sadly I will not be using the remainder of mine. I have 4 of them and I have not even used half of each bottle. I will not be throwing them away however I will either give them to others that do not care about parabens or sell them to anyone that would like them.
So finding a paraben free body lotion was first on my list.
Burt's Bees was the one brand that kept popping up when I was doing research about natural products and their products had amazing reviews so I went to Walmart and this is the one I found. It smells amazing and feels great on my skin. The one thing that I do not like about this lotion is that I have to rub it in for a while before it absorbs. I can however live with that for now and will try another one of their lotions with a more liquid formula after I finish this one.
Next up was deodorant. This is another item I use daily once or more so I wanted to replace mine with a paraben and aluminum free one.
I found out about this from one of Nika's videos, so I thought I would check it out for myself. I also picked one up for The Boy and my brother. This one smells really nice, it's light and floral but still a clean scent. So far I really like it and it does a good job.
I also picked up a few make up items that I use daily.
Physicians Formula: Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara ($14.97)

I have one word for this mascara, AMAZING! the wand is very similar to the LashBlast one from CoverGirl. and it makes my lashes look amazingly long and full. I have been wearing it for a week now and I can tell you that it does not flake at all so it has great staying power. It is a bit pricey but is still around the same price as other drug store mascaras like the loreal ones which I had been using.
This bronzer is pretty good. It is very light so it will work well on fair skin as a bronzer and on darker skin tones it will probably work well as a powder or as a highlighter. I quiet like it as I have very fair skin so this works well as a bronzer for me for a bit of colour for daily use. If I did want a darker bronzer though for a night out maybe this will not work very well and I will be looking into their other bronzers.
I am a big fan of gel liners. A week before my paraben free kick I got pink eye from a bad chest infection so I had to throw out my MAC blacktrack gel liner and some other eye make up. So this was the perfect time to look for a paraben free one. This is the one I picked out and it is the one for green eyes since I have green eyes. Every pack comes in three colours that are meant to enhance different eye colours. Mine is in black, a plum colour and also a green. I have used the black one so far and it is very dark and very creamy which makes it very easy to work with. I used the brush that came in the package and it is an ok one. I am waiting for my sigma angled brush to get here so until then this brush will do. This liner only smudged a bit on my botton lash line but that was after hours of dancing and sweating (gross I know) but my MAC one did the same so that is not a problem for me.
Last but definitely not the least is my new super cute lipgloss from BALMSHELL. As I was searching for paraben free lip glosses I came across their website. It is actually a fun and interactive website and the swatches on there are pretty accurate. I bought mine from Shoppers Drug Mart but I believe they are also available at Sephora. The company was started by twin Canadian sisters so that is always a plus as I try to support Canadian businesses whenever I can. I really love this colour it is a gorgeous darker pink. The gloss feels very nice on the lips after application, it is not sticky and makes my lips very soft. The other night I went out for dinner, I put this lip gloss on in the car a good 15 minutes before arriving at the restaurant, I had water, wine, dinner and after 3 hours I was drinking coffee and when I looked down at my coffee cup there was a lip gloss imprint on the rim. Can you say WOW!! I was so surprised as I have never experienced that with lipgloss before. This product definitely gets a 10 out of 10 from me. I am in love and wish I could have bought more colours the price held me back but I will certainly check them out in the near future.
I did not buy foundation as I already have the BareMinerals foundation but in the winter I will look into a liquid one.

I hope this post is helpful and informative. There are great resources about parabens online so check them out. A big thanks to Nika and Jenny for doing their great videos and inspiring me to start this. Another great and informative blog is Paraben Free Princess she does not blog regularly now but she has an amazing archive of posts about products you can read.
Although going paraben free is an expensive experience specially at the beginning, in my opinion it is worth it, as I would rather be safe than sorry. I also will not be purchasing some of those items again any time soon as they will last me a long time. I will do more posts about this as I continue to find more products, so I will definitely share them on here for those that are interested :)

Hello lovelies,
Hope you're having an amazing Sunday like me. My mom had a big party last night so I was running around like a mad woman all night but that does not mean I did not get some major dancing in too ;) It is not a persian party without tons of food and dancing! So today is all about being in recovery mode.
Today I wanted to make a little confession....I listen to country music. There I said it! When I say country I guess I mean the more modern pop-country aka Taylor Swift. But this post is not about her!
A while back I was reading the lovely Caitlin's blog over at Candyfloss and Persie and she had a music video in the post I was reading, I listened to this song once and there began my addiction to this song. I blast it in the mornings and dance around to it while I am getting ready and it is so much fun! and so is the music video actually.
So here is the song, I hope you enjoy :)
Hello lovelies,
Just a quick post to let you know that I have moved over to WordPress. I have been having problems with blogger for a while and I have heard from many that WordPress is amazing so I switched. I'm still polishing it a bit but here is the link! I am in love with this platform right now! see you all there :)
Hello lovelies,
How is your Friday? Beautiful I hope! I will be studying all day and then a dinner date with The Boy for his Birthday!!, so it will be a good Friday!
Today I want to share an outfit I put together so here it is :)
Hello lovelies,
How is everyone's Thursday going? any plans for Friday and the weekend? fun things I hope!
Today I have my August Luxe Box review and the little fun project I did with the box this month :)
So first let's take a look at the goodies that came in the box!
Hello lovelies,
How is everyone's week so far? Fabulous I hope!
Today while my post is fashion related, it is way more than that. For a while I had been looking for a way to be part of or contribute to an organization that encourages free trade or helps women earn wages in those parts of the world where this help is needed.
Well while I was browsing the internet for such an organization I came across Indego Africa. You can read all about what they do on their website, which is rather educational. They are a none for profit organization and I absolutely LOVE what they are trying to do. They educate women in Rwanda in literacy, business and more. They encourage these women to combine what they learn with their already existing talents of making handcrafted items such as jewelry and home decore items.
Many big name companies have collaborated with Indego Africa to sell these women's products, such as Ralph Lauren and Anthropologie.
I was very excited when I found this website as it was exactly what I had been looking for, for a long time. But I found out that I cannot actually order anything from their online shop yet as they do not deliver to where I live yet.
I was very disappointed at the time, but then I kept browsing their website and came across a page where they mentioned other organizations and that is when I came across bluma project.
This is another organization with the same goals, where a group of ladies themselves travel to Africa and train women there how to make jewelry and then they bring the jewelry back to the U.S. to be sold. What was amazing was that their products can be purchased online on no other website than Shopbop!!
So I immediately put in an order, which was by no means large, but it was what I could offer at the time. Here is what I ordered:
ps. Correction: I made a mistake, just realized that they do ship to Canada but will have to email them and ask them for a quote :) missed this the last time I was on their website!
Hello lovelies,
How is everyone doing? well I hope. Today I have a quick outfit post for you. I wore this outfit to go run some errands and do some shopping!
recently I have been reading about and researching Parabens and I have decided that I am going to start going Paraben free! I will do a post soon about all of this and share some information and products I have found. So check back for that if you're interested :)
Hello lovelies,
Hope you are all doing well. I am still very sick and that is why I have been a bit MIA. I am stuck inside my room...so no outfit photos, I'm going crazy being inside all the time and since what I have is contagious I can't be around other people either. haha just realized that sounded a bit too scary I basically have a chest and ear infection, which also showed up in my eyes (pink eye is so not attractive)...sucks!
So I decided I would do a fall shopping list, since that is what I am hoping I will get to do sometime soon. It has actually really cooled down in Toronto, which I am not really liking but can't do anything about it.
I am going to divide the list into separate posts. Shoes and accessories first and then clothes!
What are some items you are looking forward to for the Fall season?
Hello lovelies,
How is everyone? well, I hope. I have some sort of a cold that is driving me crazy. Anyways, last Thursday I went out with one of my besties for the day! we had sushi and then watched Monte Carlo which was a very predictable, typically girly but very cute movie :)
Samantha if you're reading this I'm going to miss you and our sushi plus hot chocolate dates so much when you leave!
Hello lovelies,
How is everyone's Friday going? I seem to have got a little cold, hopefully it will be gone soon. I don't have much planned for this weekend and it is supposed to rain. So I was a bit inspired to do a rainy day outfit.
Hello lovelies,
How is everyone's week so far? amazing I hope! So today I want to share with you one my absolutely favourite outfits of this summer. I mentioned this outfit here, but this time I wore it to a party on Sunday and was able to get some photos of it.
When I first saw this dress in H&M I fell in love instantly, but the price tag stopped me from buying it. A month later however when H&M was having their clearance sale which I tweeted about, I saw this little beauty for half the original price so I said you're coming home with me! If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I LOVE bright colours, which would explain why I absolutely adore this dress.
